Population growth is directly proportional to the growth of water demand. Large number of populations will be building a larger residential area. The development of residential areas requires a clean water supply to fulfill household water demand. The purpose of this research were to identify water demand and water availability in the area of Tanjung Barangan Palembang City, and to analyze comparison with the amount of raw water production. This research was conducted to 2020 using population data, the amount of raw water production of PDAM Karang Anyar, the number of customers of PDAM Karang Anyar, than location survey data and questionnaires regarding the population with sources of raw water use to domestic and non domestic facilities. The methods of technique analysis used in this research is population projection arithmetic and geometrically, analyzing domestic and non-domestic water demand according to SNI-19-6728 1-2002 and comparing the two with water balance analysis. The average demand for raw water in 2020 is 22153.57875 / month and the availability of raw water produced is 31577 / month. The availability of raw water for the Tanjung Barangan area will still be fulfilled because the flow rate still has reserves of 9423.53 / month.
