Much research on Artificial Neural Networks has been widely implemented in all fields of science, especially in the field of Science. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is a machine designed to model the way the brain uses to perform a particular function. Seeing the development of Artificial Neural Network came the idea of applying Artificial Neural Networks into the field of geography concerning the identification of map color patterns to distinguish geographical features on maps, their application applied to maps of Google Maps, a free and online virtual globe map provided by Google can be accessed via http://maps.google.com. To identify the image color pattern is done image processing process, that is process to improve image quality for easy to be interpreted by human of machine (computer). Image processing technique used is Segmentation Technique. Training method used in this research using Learning Vector Quantization Method.
