HYBRID GAMMA CORRECTION MULTIVARIASI DENGAN METODE LOCAL CONTRAST UNTUK PERBAIKAN CITRA RETINA PADA DATASET STRUCTURED ANALYSIS OF THE RETINA
Retinal image is one of the features that can provide information about abnormalities in the retinal blood vessels. However, the retinal image produced by the camera has a lot of noise which can lead to misdiagnosis. This study uses a Structured Analysis of the Retina (STARE) datasets. RGB image is converted to grayscale first. The grayscale image is then applied gamma correction. The Gamma correction process applies 3 (three) different Gamma values and the results are compared to find the best Gamma value. The CLAHE operation is then applied to the image for histogram equalization. The application of the local contrast method to sharpen the edges of the blood vessels. The last step is noise removal by comparing the Median filter and the Gaussian filter. The parameters used in this study are Mean Square Error (MSE), Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM). The test results for each parameter obtained a gamma value of 0.5 and the Gaussian filter got the best results.
