Auditor as a profession has a set code of conduct m their profession. Ethics violations within the auditor to issue attractive. Because it resulted in declining public trust m auditors. Based on this background, this study aims to determine: (1) influence the perception of the public accounting profession on organizational commitment public accountant (2) the influence of emotional intelligence to the commitment of the public accounting profession This study is a survey by distributing questionnaires directly to the sample. The population is all auditors in public accounting firm in Palembang. Samples taken from 36 auditors are taken based on the population of this study is that the study population. Techniques of data analysis using multiple regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) the perception of the profession have an influence on the profession's commitment auditor. It means that the higher the perception of the profession which is owned by a auditor will result in an increased understanding of the profession that they do so will impact the increased commitment of the profession that makes the creation of high professionalism, (2) emotional intelligence variables have an influence on the performance of auditors. Components that affect emotional intelligence, namely: emotional skills, proficiency EQ, and EQ indigo and beliefs. And jointly measured variables profession perception and emotional intelligence has a significant positive effect on the profession's commitment auditor in public accounting firm in the city of Palembang.
