Design of salinity measurement system utilizing the pasco sciences interface 750 worksheet-based conductivity sensor
Because of the difficulty of identifying the quality of water that is good or improper to consume, it needs a method to determine the levels of salinity found in the water. This research aims to design a measurement of salinity using the conductivity sensor in the form of copper with two types of straight wire and spiral wire. The salinity measurement system design is connected with Pasco Sciences Worksheet Interface 750 then the data is processed using Data Studio software. The measurements using a straight wire and spiral wire gave exponential equation from Microsoft Excel and will be used to obtain the results of salinity predictions. The measurement results using the straight wire has an accuracy rate of 87% with an average error of 13%, while the results of measurement using a spiral wire has an accuracy rate of 79 % with an average error of 21%. The results of calculations using straight wire produces ppm prediction value which is closer to the actual ppm
