The use of super memory to enhance english vocabulary and descriptive writing achievement of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Palembang
The objectives of this study were to find out whether or not super memory was significantly effective to enhance English vocabulary achievement of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Palembang and whether or not super memory was significantly effective to enhance descriptive writing achievement of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. This research used quasi experimental method. The population of this study consisted of 40 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Palembang. Twenty students were assigned as the experimental group and the other twenty students as the control group. The students of the experimental group were taught by using super memory technique (multi-sensory system) while the students in control group were not given any treatment. The results of the post-tests in the experimental group show that the mean score increased in both English vocabulary and descriptive writing achievement. To conclude, super memory was significantly effective to enhance English vocabulary and descriptive writing achievement of the students in the experimental group.
