Background: Cervical cancer is the second most common type of cancer in Indonesia. Cervical cancer is most often found when it is already in the invasive, advanced, or even terminal stages with the main complaint being pain caused by tumor infiltration. Continuous pain can affect daily activities and the quality of life of cervical cancer patients. One of the non-pharmacological pain treatments is deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Qur'an recitation. Objective: To provide nursing care to cervical cancer patients by implementing deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Qur'an recitation (murottal). Method: The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach to 3 cervical cancer patients by implementing deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Qur'an recitation. Results: The main nursing problem found in the three patients was chronic pain. The results of the evaluation of the application of deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Qur'an recitation for 3 consecutive days by first providing deep breathing relaxation therapy 10 times, followed by Al-Qur'an recitation therapy of Surah Ar-Rahman ± 15 minutes and given after 5 hours of giving analgesic drugs showed a decrease in the pain scale (2-3 scale). Discussion: Giving deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Quran recitation can reduce the pain scale because it has a relaxing and distracting effect in inhibiting pain perception, thereby increasing the release of endorphin and enkephalin hormones that inhibit pain transmission. Conclusion: Deep breathing relaxation therapy and Al-Quran recitation are effective in reducing the pain scale of cervical cancer patients.
