EFEKTIVITAS MEDIA EDUKASI “DAILY BOOK CHALLENGE” DALAM MENINGKATKAN OHI-S ANAK DI SDN 11 PALEMBANG
Background: School-age children are a group that is vulnerable to cases of dental and oral health problems. This is caused by a lack of knowledge about how to maintain dental and oral hygiene. This knowledge can be obtained from educational media tools. "Daily Book Challenge" is an educational media that contains knowledge in maintaining dental and oral hygiene that is packaged in an attractive way. Objective: This study to assess the effectiveness of the educational media "Daily Book Challenge" in improving the Oral Hygiene Index Simplified (OHI-S) of children aged 10- 12 years at SDN 11 Palembang. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design. Dental and oral hygiene was measured using the OHI-S. The research subjects were children aged 10-12 years at SDN 11 Palembang, randomly divided into two groups. Group 1 received the "Daily Book Challenge" educational media along with a daily calendar, while Group 2, the control group, received only a daily calendar. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests.
