Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic and systemic disease of autoimmune nature, which is characterized by excessive production of antibodies, causing various clinical manifestations in various systemic organs. The course of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is complex and the causes are various, so it is difficulties often occur in recognizing this condition, however it have a high risk of death. The purpose of this research was to determine patient characteristics and nursing diagnoses in SLE patients at Mohammad Hosein Hospital in Palembang for the period July, 1st 2022 - March 1st 2024. The type of this research was quantitative research with descriptive methods. The sample in this research was taken from medical records using total sampling technique. The number of respondents who took part in the research after conducted the inclusion process were 64 people. Research analysis used univariate analysis. The results showed that the characteristics of the respondents in this research were aged 26-45 years (42.2%), female (93.8%), housewife (34.4%), high school education level (56.3%).) and had no history of the same disease in their family (96.9%), duration of illness more than 1 year (68.8%) and nursing diagnosis (0%). SLE often attacks women of reproductive age because of there was hormone progesterone which affects the immune system in humans then, Nursing diagnosis was a clinical assessment regarding the patient's response to their health problems so that in making a nursing diagnosis it must be in accordance with the SDKI guidelines which consist of several components were the problem (Problem), cause (etiology), signs and symptom (symtpom) therefore the nursing diagnosis in this research based on the results of medical records cannot be established or cannot be achieved Keywords: Patient Characteristics, Nursing Diagnosis, SLE Bibttography: 63 (2014-2023)Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) adalah penyakit kronis dan sistemik yang bersifat autoimun, yang dicirikan oleh produksi antibodi yang berlebihan, menyebabkan berbagai manifestasi klinis pada berbagai organ sistemik. Perjalanan penyakit Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) kompleks dan penyebabnya bervariasi, sehingga seringkali terjadi kesulitan dalam mengenali kondisi ini, namun memiliki risiko kematian yang tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik pasien dan diagnosis keperawatan pada pasien SLE di Rumah Sakit Mohammad Hosein Palembang periode 1 Juli 2022-1 Maret 2024. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dari medikal record menggunakan teknik total sampling. Adapun jumlah responden yang ikut serta dalam penelitian setelah dilakukan proses inklusi berjumlah 64 orang. Analisis penelitian menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik responden pada penelitian ini yaitu usia 26-45 tahun (42,2%), berjenis kelamin perempuan (93,8%), ibu rumah tangga (34,4%), tingkat pendidikan SMA (56,3%) dan tidak memiliki riwayat penyakit yang sama dikeluarganya (96,9%), lama sakit lebih dari 1 tahun (68,8%) dan diagnosis keperawatan (0% ). SLE banyak menyerang wanita usia produktif karena adanya hormon progesteron yang mempengaruhi sistem kekebalan tubuh pada manusia kemudian diagnosis keperawatan merupakan penilaian klinis mengenai respon pasien terhadap masalah kesehatannya sehingga dalam penegakan diagnosis keperawatan harus sesuai dengan panduan SDKI yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen yaitu masalah (Problem), penyebab (etiology), tanda dan gejala (sysmtomp) oleh karena itu diagnosis keperawatan dalam penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil medikal record tidak bisa ditegakan atau tidak tercapai.
