PENERAPAN PIJAT OKSITOSIN UNTUK MENGATASI MASALAH KEPERAWATAN MENYUSUI TIDAK EFEKTIF PADA IBU POSTPARTUM SECTIO CAESAREA DI RUANG ENIM 2 RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: The puerperium, which lasts for 6 weeks after delivery, is a crucial period for mothers especially for those who underwent section cesarea (SC) delivery. Many postpartum mothers experience insufficient breast milk production hindering the breastfeeding process. One intervention that can be carried out to stimulate these hormones is oxytocin massage. Objective: To apply oxytocin massage in nursing care for postpartum sectio caesarea mothers with ineffective breastfeeding nursing problems at dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Method: The method used in writing study was qualitative descriptive qualitative descriptive research in the form of case study. Results: there were five nursing found in the three patients of postpartum sectio caesarea mothers with the main nursing problem being ineffective breastfeeding. The result of providing oxytoxin massage carried out of 3 consecutive days on the tree patients for 10-15 minutes every day showed that the tree patients felt relaxed and comfortable, and milk production increased. Conclusion: Oxytocin massage affected the release of oxytocin hormone to increase breast milk production and milk output.
