UJI KINERJA DUA UKURAN ALAT PERANGKAP HAMA TANAMAN TIPE ELEKTRIK MENGGUNAKAN PANEL SURYA SEBAGAI SUMBER ENERGI
The Mosquito Killer Lamp type insect pest trap is an automatic device that utilizes solar energy to produce electrical energy through solar panels. The main purpose is to activate the tool at night which will be connected via a plug cable to the inverter (AC power source), while the Aoki type pest trap will be connected via a USB cable to the adapter (DC power source). This tool is used to attract the attention of insect pests because of the LED light. In this way, pests that are active at night will be attracted by the light of the LED lights, and when the pests approach the lights they will receive an electric shock from the high voltage wire arrangement. This research was carried out from January 25 to March 5 2024 at the experimental garden, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research method used is the descriptive method. The research parameters used are, Power Calculation (W), Energy (Wh), Battery usage time (h), Battery charging time (h), Fill Factor, Solar panel power (W), and Solar panel efficiency (%). The measurement results for the two Mosquito Killer Lamp type pest trap devices for power requirements obtained an average value of 17.2 W, and for the Aoki device the power requirements obtained an average value of 8.6 W with battery energy of 96 Wh, calculation of battery usage time, battery charging time, Fill Factor 2.925 W , the solar panel power calculation obtained an average result of 61.88 W. For the results of measurements on solar panels for 3 days, the average solar panel efficiency was 4.68%, and the average intensity of sunlight Was 616.16 W/m2 , so that observations of the insect pest traps carried out from 18.00 WIB to 22.00 WIB were able to operate well, where three types of trapping pests were obtained from both tools, namely night beetles, moths and cowbirds with the total number of insect pests that could be obtained from the two traps being 384 individuals.
