Mental disorders are a condition in which a person's psychological condition is disturbed which has an impact on changes in person’s behavior, language, and thoughts. One form of mental disorder that is commonly found is the risk of violent behavior. The risk of violent behavior is a person's behavior that shows that he can harm himself or others or the environment, either physically, emotionally, sexually, and verbally. Handling of violent behavior is drug therapy, implementation strategies, and modality therapy such as music therapy. This scientific paper aims to implement psychiatric nursing care for clients at risk of violent behavior using instrumental music therapy at Ernaldi Bahar Hospital, Palembang. This scientific paper used qualitative descriptive method in the form of case studies with the SP1-5 implementation strategy and the application of instrumental music therapy for 30 minutes in three days for clients with problems at risk of violent behavior. The results of the evaluation analysis using the observation sheet for signs and symptoms of violent behavior obtained a decrease in signs and symptoms of the risk of violent behavior in Mr.R, which was previously 46% to 8%, in Mr.F, which was previously 38% to 8%, and in Mr.M, which was previously 31% to 8% after was obtained comprehensive implementation in the form of implementation strategies and music therapy to the three managed clients. The evaluation results were obtained in the three managed clients, namely that the three clients were able to control their emotions well according to the implementation strategies that had been taught and the music therapy provided. In addition, at the end of the implementation, the patient seemed very cooperative, eye contact was very good, more relaxed, calm, and the patient seemed to smile. This final scientific paper concludes that the application of music therapy supported by a comprehensive implementation strategy can reduce the signs and symptoms of clients at risk of violent behavior.
