RISIKO DAN UPAYA MASYARAKAT MENGAHADAPI KERUSAKAN INFRASTRUKTUR JALAN DI SEMATANG BORANG KELURAHAN SAKO KOTA PALEMBANG
This study aims to identify and analyze the risks and efforts of the community to face road infrastructure damage in Sematang Borang, Sako Village, Palembang with the perspective of the Ulrich Beck Risk Community. The subjects in this study are the community and users of the Sematang Borang road, while the method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study strategy. The data in this study was obtained through data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. This study obtained results regarding the risks and efforts of the community in dealing with road damage in Sematang Borang which has occurred for more than three years. First, the risks faced by the community and road users include ecological physical risks such as air pollution, social risks in the form of a sense of indifference and mental risks such as feelings of stress. Second, the efforts made by the community to deal with these risks are grouped into two, namely individual efforts and collective efforts. Individual efforts such as traveling at certain times, interacting indirectly and wearing a mask or helmet while driving. Then collective efforts in the form of road hoarding activities in mutual cooperation and submitting road repairs with the authorities. Keywords: Risk, Effort and Road Infrastructure
