The purpose of this study was to determine the role of optimism on future anxiety in fresh graduate. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a role of optimism on future anxiety in fresh graduate. The population in this study were fresh graduate. The number of samples in this study was 237 fresh graduate currently seeking a job and not obtained job yet and 50 respondents for the trial (try out). Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique. This study used a measuring instrument that refers to the future anxiety dimension of Zaleksi (1996) with a reliability value of 0.809 and the optimism dimension of Seligman (2008) with a reliability value of 0.894.
