As the demand for electrical energy increases and the number of consumers increases, the level of continuity of the electrical power supplied needs to be considered. When an outage occurs, some kWh is not received by consumers so that it is not paid. The research was conducted at PT PLN Rayon Ampera Palembang with the section technique method and the calculation of the realization value. From the calculation of the reliability index value with the section technique method, the SAIFI, SAIDI, and CAIDI values are 2.7529 failures/year, 3.6076 hours/year, 1.3105 failures/customers. While the realization is 3.7468 failures/year, 6.6828 hours/year, and 1.7836. The section technique value is still reliable from SPLN but not with IEEE. The realized value is not reliable from the section technique value of the installed system. The undelivered energy amounted to 110,344.1143 kWh. The unpaid price on the part of consumers experienced by PT PLN Rayon Ampera due to blackouts that occurred in the Kediri extension during 2023 amounted to Rp. 159,414,141.90.
