PRODUKTIVITAS TENAGA KERJA DAN EFISIENSI TEKNIS INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN TEMBAKAU INDONESIA (ISIC 120)
This study examines labor productivity, technical efficiency, and the correlation between the two in the tobacco processing industry in Indonesia (ISIC 120). This study uses a type of time series data with a period from 2003 to 2022. The research data was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia. The analysis technique in this study uses Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results show that the tobacco processing industry in Indonesia has experienced a significant increase in labor productivity. Based on the results of the SFA, the tobacco processing industry showed technically efficient conditions during the research period. The results also show that the variables of labor and capital have a positive and significant effect on increasing output. The strong correlation between productivity and technical efficiency supports the hypothesis that increased productivity is followed by increased efficiency. To ensure the sustainability of this positive trend, it is recommended that the industry continue to invest in technology, workforce training, and leverage government policies that support innovation and efficiency.
