ANALISIS LINEAMENT DAN STRUKTUR GEOLOGI DAERAH MUARA SAHUNG DAN SEKITARNYA, KABUPATEN KAUR, BENGKULU
Lineament analysis and identification of geological structures have been conducted in the area of Muara Sahung Village and its surroundings, Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province. Tectonically, the analysis area is included in the Bengkulu Basin which is a Tertiary forearc basin with a relatively dynamic tectonic setting. The Bengkulu Basin is located between 2 regional faults, namely the Sumatra Fault and the Mentawai Fault. There are stages of evolution in the formation of the Bengkulu Basin that took place from the Paleocene to the Pleistocene. This study was conducted using observational, analytical, and interpretive methods obtained from field observations and identification in the studio. This study also uses Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data assisted by PCI Geomatica 2014 software which aims to extract lineament and correlate the extraction results with field data in the form of geological structure analysis. The research area is controlled by two geological structures in the form of down thrust faults. Based on the results of the lineament analysis, the research area has low, medium, and high density levels. From the results of the lineament analysis, it has been correlated with geological structure data in the field, resulting in a Northwest-Southeast structural pattern. The Northwest-Southeast orientation is the dominant direction that dominates the geological structure of the research area in the form of the Nunung River down thrust and the Tiga Panggung River downthrust. This pattern is the direction of regional structural orientation that reflects the Bengkulu Basin, this is influenced by the regional tectonic order of the Bengkulu Basin. The results of the correlation between the lineament study analysis and the results of the geological structure analysis in the field indicate a precise level of accuracy.
