PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard is a company that produces medium density fiber panels (MDF). The diversity of butterflies in one place will differ from another place, the presence of butterflies in a habitat is closely related to the distribution and abundance of host plants. Butterflies are insects that consist of the order Lepidoptera, divided into sub-order Rhopalocera which has scaly wings. This research aims to determine what types of Rhopalocera butterflies are present in several locations in the PT Sumatera Prima Fibreboard area which is the location of the butterfly sampling point. The method used in this research is the exploration method by exploring the research location which becomes several sampling points using insect nets. Data analysis was carried out using the Shannon-Wienner Diversity Index (H'), Simpson’s Dominance Index (C), and Equitability Evenness Index (E) formulas and analyzing the correlation between the Diversity Index (H), Simpson’s Dominance Index (C), and Equitability Evenness Index (E) with the environmental factors namely Temperature, Air humidity, and Light intensity. The butterflies found at the PT SPF location are 150 individuals consisting of 14 species of butterflies that belong to 2 families, namely the Nymphalidae and Pieridae families. The Shannon Wienner diversity index value obtained is classified as moderate and the butterfly Simpson’s Dominance Index is low, while the Equitability Evenness Index is 0 - 0.96 which is classified as high. The correlation between the three index (diversity index, dominance, and evenness) to air temperature and humidity is classified as very strong because it has an r value ranging from 0.83 - 0.95 and has a moderate to strong correlation on light intensity because it has an r value ranging from 0.53-0.69.
