This study discusses the model and analysis of cooling techniques on a 50 WP polycrystalline solar panel using a DC fan and perforated aluminum plate. The main objective of this research is to improve the efficiency of solar panels by reducing the operational temperature caused by solar radiation. The research methods include the use of a solar panel without cooling, a solar panel with DC fan cooling, and a solar panel with DC fan cooling combined with a perforated aluminum plate, with data collection on voltage, current, and temperature throughout the study. In this research, the DC fan is used as active cooling while the perforated aluminum plate functions as passive cooling. Measurements were taken over 7 days from 09:00 to 15:00 with data collection every minute. The results of the study indicate that the 50 WP polycrystalline solar panel utilizing two types of cooling, namely DC fan and perforated aluminum plate, has higher efficiency compared to the other two panels. This is evident from the lowest efficiency value of 0.92% on the panel without cooling and the highest efficiency value of 10.41% on the panel using DC fan and perforated aluminum plate cooling. It can be concluded that the use of both active and passive cooling can enhance the performance of solar panels.
