ANALISIS GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DIREKTUR DI KANTOR PDAM TIRTA OGAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
This research seeks to identify and examine the leadership style practiced by the director of PDAM Tirta Ogan in Ogan Ilir Regency. PDAM, as a regionally owned enterprise (BUMD), is tasked with managing and providing clean water services to the community. Its responsibilities include treating raw water from sources such as rivers into drinkable water and distributing it through a pipeline network. In practice, however, the organization's performance still shows various shortcomings, many of which stem from leaders who do not adequately consider employee performance. Leadership style refers to the approach a leader uses to influence, guide, motivate, and manage others in order to achieve organizational objectives. Each leader’s style varies depending on personality, situational factors, and organizational culture. This study uses a qualitative research method, employing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The primary respondents include the heads of the general and financial divisions, the head of the general subsection, and three employees. The findings indicate that the director of PDAM Tirta Ogan Ilir applies a transformational leadership style. This conclusion is supported by the fact that the director demonstrates three key components of transformational leadership: (1) idealized influence, (2) intellectual stimulation, and (3) inspirational motivation.
