This thesis is entitled: "SOCIAL REHABILITATION OF CHILDREN AS PERPETRATORS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE (STUDY DECISION NUMBER 1/PID.SUS-ANAK/2022/PN SRL)". In this research, the author examines the imposition of social rehabilitation by judges on children who commit sexual violence. Children are the next generation of the nation who have an essential position and have unique characteristics and characteristics that have the potential to carry forward the ideals of the Indonesian state and nation, whose rights have been protected by the state in Law Number 17 of 2016 regarding amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. Article 71 paragraph (1) of Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Juvenile Criminal Justice System states the main forms of punishment for children, one of the five main ones is job training. Job training itself can take the form of social rehabilitation. Social rehabilitation is a process that aims to help individuals who experience social problems, such as drug abuse or crime, to return to functioning effectively in society through various programs, support and behavioral changes. The provisions for social rehabilitation are stated in the SPPA Law that children are included in social rehabilitation programs. Social rehabilitation of children as perpetrators of sexual crimes is an important issue in the juvenile justice system. Children involved in sexual crimes require a rehabilitation approach that focuses on improving behavior, understanding, and social reintegration.
