Different types of land use will have different land conditions, both in terms of soil properties and soil organic matter content at the location. This study aims to determine the infiltration rate in 4 different types of land use, as well as the effect of several physical properties of soil and soil organic matter on the infiltration rate in the Sriwijaya University experimental field. The four types of land use in question are rubber land, oil palm land, arboretum, and experimental field. The physical properties in question are structure, texture, bulk density, porosity, and soil color. The method used is the Double Ring Infiltrometer Method with the Horton equation model. This study was conducted from July to August 2023. The results of the study showed that the infiltration rate in rubber land with an average value of 37.06 cm/hour, oil palm land with an average value of 15.13 cm/hour, arboretum with an average value of 55.06 cm/hour, and research garden with an average value of 21.36 cm/hour. There was a positive relationship between the porosity infiltration rate, soil organic matter content and the percentage of soil sand fraction. Meanwhile, bulk density shows a negative relationship with soil infiltration rate. The correlation between soil infiltration rate (dependent variable) with sand fractions, organic matter, and bulk density (predictor variable) shows a strong relationship, with the linear regression equation Y = 79.396 – 63.893 bulk density + 1.594 organic matter – 0.016 sand fraction.
