This study, entitled “Analysis of the Factors of Chinese Companies’ Internationalization in Indonesia: A Case Study of PT SANY Indonesia,” is motivated by the increasing inflow of Chinese Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Indonesia, particularly in the heavy industry sector. This phenomenon reflects China’s global economic expansion through the Go Global policy and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). PT SANY Indonesia, as a subsidiary of SANY Group, serves as a concrete example of a Chinese enterprise successfully expanding its operations in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors driving the internationalization process of Chinese companies in Indonesia by using John H. Dunning’s OLI paradigm (Ownership, Location, and Internalization). The study employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing data collected from literature reviews, company reports, and relevant secondary sources. The findings indicate that three key factors influence the success of PT SANY Indonesia’s internationalization: technological and financial advantages (ownership), Indonesia’s market potential and government policy support (location), and full control over production facilities (internalization). These factors interact to shape SANY’s successful expansion strategy in Indonesia. This study demonstrates that the OLI paradigm effectively explains the dynamics of Chinese firms’ internationalization and contributes to the broader understanding of international economic relations and sustainable foreign investment policies.
