ANALISIS RESEPSI IBU MUDA GEN Z TERHADAP POLA ASUH TOKOH "DARA" DALAM FILM DUA HATI BIRU (2024)
This study aims to analyze the reception of Gen Z young mothers towards the parenting style displayed by the character Dara in the film Dua Hati Biru (2024). This study uses Stuart Hall's reception analysis theory, which emphasizes three main dimensions, namely frameworks of knowledge, relations of production, and technical infrastructure. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with in-depth interview techniques with five young Gen Z mothers selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results show that the informants' reception is not uniform: three informants are in a dominant-hegemonic position, fully accepting Dara's parenting style as relevant to their experiences, while two informants are in a negotiated position, accepting some of the messages but still adjusting them to their respective realities and family conditions. This study did not find any informants who occupied an oppositional position. Family background, experience as parents, and socioeconomic conditions influenced how informants interpreted the parenting patterns presented in the film. These findings show that young Gen Z mothers' reception of the film Dua Hati Biru tends to be positive, while also confirming the role of the media in presenting representations of parenting that can be used as material for reflection and adaptation by the audience.
