GAMBARAN UTILISASI PELAYANAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT KARYAWAN DAN KELUARGA PT X TAHUN 2023
Dental health is an essential component of overall health that affects individual well-being and productivity. The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey reported a high prevalence of oral and dental problems and a low utilisation of dental health services. PT X, a state-owned enterprises in Palembang, provides additional health insurance for its employees and their families through PT Y. This study aims to describe the utilisation of dental and oral health services among PT X employees and their families in 2023, based on month of visit, age, gender, diagnosis, visit frequency, type of healthcare facility, and participant status. This study employed a descriptive observational design with a cross-sectional approach, using secondary data from PT Y health insurance claims in 2023. The results showed that out of 6,760 insured participants, only 2,376 utilized dental and oral health services. The highest number of visits occurred in October, while the lowest was in April. Adults aged 26–45 years dominated the visits, and females utilized the services more frequently than males. The most common diagnosis was dental caries (K02), followed by diseases of the pulp and periapical tissues (K04), and gingival and periodontal diseases (K05). Most participants made only one visit throughout the year, and the majority sought treatment at hospitals, with employees’ children being the largest user group. The utilisation rate of dental and oral health services among PT X employees and their families remains relatively low, indicating the need for increased awareness regarding the importance of dental health.
