PEMBERIAN RECOMBINANT GROWTH HORMONE (rGH) DENGAN DOSIS BERBEDA PADA PAKAN TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN DAN KELANGSUNGAN HIDUP BENIH IKAN BETOK (Anabas testudineus)
Even though climbing perch cultivation has begun to develop, the slow growth of climbing perch is the main challenge. Same factors such as inadequate nutritional intake, environmental condition which is less than optimal, and hormonal imbalances in the fish's body can cause slow growth. One of the ways to accelerate the growth of climbing perch cultivation is to use rGH. The giving rGH through feed has been proven to be effective in accelerating fish growth. This research aims to determine the best dose on rGH administering to the growth and survival of climbing perch seeds. The research design used was the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) which consisted of five treatments with three replications each. P0 (control treatment) was commercial feed, P1 (control treatment) was commercial feed+egg yolk, P2 was commercial feed+egg yolk+1 mg kg-1 dose of rGH, P3 was commercial feed+egg yolk+2 mg kg-1 dose of rGH, P4 namely commercial feed+egg yolk+3 mg kg-1 feed dose of rGH. The size of the fish used was 6±0.5 cm with 1 L-1 of stocking density. The research maintenance was for 42 days. The results showed that P3 with 2 mg kg-1 dose of rGH was the best result with 1.65 g of absolute weight growth, 1.13 cm of absolute length growth, 3.49% days-1 of specific growth rate, 21.93% of feed efficiency, 0.54 of protein efficiency ratio, and 98% of survival rate. The water quality obtained during maintenance was 25.5-30.5°C of temperature, 6.0-7.4 of pH, 3.52-4.20 mg L-1 of dissolved oxygen and 0.021-0.304 mg L-1 of ammonia.
