PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN SERAT MIKRO DAN MAKRO SINTETIS POLYPROPYLENE TERHADAP KUAT TARIK BELAH SELF COMPACTING CONCRETE
Self compacting concrete or SCC is a special type of concrete which can flow with its own weight to fill the formwork without using a vibrator in the compacting process, but still maintaining its homogeneity. This research is intended to determine the effect of using fibers in SCC (FFRSCC) on the splitting tensile strength, the patterns of the failure, and the optimum composition polypropylene micro and macro fibers used. The designed compressive strength is 30 MPa using coarse aggregate, sand, cement, water, superplasticizer, and polypropylene micro and macro fibers at percentages 0%; 0,75%; 1%; and 1,25% of the volume. The test results showed that there was an increase in the split tensile strength of FRSCC compared to normal SCC. FRSCC with polypropylene micro fiber with a percentage of 0,75%; 1%; and 1,25% had an increase of 2%; 18%; and 6%, respectively, while the increase in FRSCC with polypropylene macro fiber was 12%; 27%; and 41% against normal SCC. The polypropylene micro fiber reinforced SCC has an optimum mixture at 1% fiber percentage, while the polypropylene macro fiber reinforced SCC at 1.25% percentage. Based on the results of the analysis of the failure pattern in each variable of the samples, it can be concluded that the influence of the addition of micro and macro fibers able to provide better resistance to tensile loads in the form of fine cracks.
