ANALISIS KANDUNGAN METABOLIT DAN ANTIOKSIDAN DAUN DENDROPHTHOE PENTANDRA (L.) MIQ. PADA JERUK NIPIS (CITRUS AURANTIFOLIA) DENGAN METODE GC-MS
Dendrophthoe pentandra (L.) Miq. is a type of epipite plant included in Loranthaceae that lives epiphytes in various host plants, one of which is lime. The potential of epipite as a medicinal plant has bioactivity due to its diverse metabolite content. This study aims to determine the abundance of compounds contained in ethanol extract of epipite leaves on lime with GC-MS method, as well as its antioxidant content with DPPH method. GC-MS data analysis will trace the biosynthetic pathway of the abundance of dominant compounds, unique compounds, and their bioactivity. The results of GC-MS analysis obtained metabolite profile results in the form of abundance of metabolite compounds detected and differences in compound types, with a total abundance of 90.49% with a total of 68 compounds with 51 main compounds. 16 dominant compounds were detected, including Melezitose (6.64%); 3-Methylmannoside (6.38%); ß-d-Mannofuranoside, meth (4.76%); 3-O-Methyl-d-glucose (3.70%); Myo-Inositol, 4-C-methyl- (31.29%); and Tetradecanoic acid, ethyl ester (3.81%). The dominant classes of compounds were carbohydrates (65%), fatty acids (15%) and phenols (10%). Antioxidant levels of Dendrophthoe pentandra (L.) Miq. in lime with quersetin standard of 3.7 ± 0.3 ppm and vitamin C standard of 6.7 ± 1.2 ppm. Dendrophthoe pentandra (L.) Miq. in lime has potential as an herbal medicine.
