KARAKTERISTIK RETURN STROKE SAMBARAN PETIR NEGATIF AWAN KE TANAH DARI BADAI PETIR TROPIS DI WILAYAH OBSERVASI PALEMBANG
There has been a great deal of research done on the characteristics of return strokes on negative CG-flashes, primarily using parallel-plate antennas integrated with buffer circuits (slow-field and fast-field). These observations will identify lightning data from lightning storms occurring in the Palembang observation area. Thus, the goal of this study is to monitor the tropical strom's Return Stroke pulse sequence in the Palembang observation region. Several phases of this research, including the measurement of electrical field measurement devices from lightning, will be conducted in the Graha PT Bukit Asam building at the Faculty of Engineering University of Sriwijaya, Jl. Srijaya State, Bukit Besar, Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia (30139). The recording station in the Palembang observation area as cloud-negative lightning data to the ground. The features of Return Stroke in the Palembang observatory area, which is close to the phenomenon, were found to be shorter in terms of pulse duration but longer in terms of Rise Time, Zero Crossing Time, and Full Width at Half Maximum based on comparisons between the results of this study and those from earlier research.
