IDENTIFIKASI PENGARUH INTERAKSI LAUT-ATMOSFER TERHADAP EVOLUSI EL-NIÑO PADA TAHUN 2023 DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP IKLIM DI INDONESIA
Climate change continues to be a global issue, with one of the significant phenomena linked to it being the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Indonesia, being adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, experiences the impacts of this phenomenon. This study aims to examine the influence of the ocean-atmosphere interaction on the evolution of the 2023 El Niño through observing parameters such as sea surface temperature, air pressure, and winds, using Walker circulation analysis. From the research conducted, it is known that the early phase of the evolution began in May 2023, peaking in December 2023 with anomalies reaching 2.06°C. Climate parameters like wind, sea surface temperature, and air pressure play crucial roles in the evolution of El Niño. Through rainfall observations, it was found that during the El Niño phenomenon throughout 2023, the eastern parts of Indonesia experienced drought due to its impacts.
