PT Sumigita Jaya is one of the sub contractors that collaborates with PT Bukit Asam Tbk in the Coal Transport Handling and Coal Handling Operations Work Unit. Mining safety performance assessment is based on four indicators. One indicator of mining safety performance is worker participation which measures the active role of workers in managing K3 at mining sites. In 2022, PT Sumigita Jaya had the most violations, namely 118 types of violations committed by workers. Looking at the year 2023, one of the parameters of mining worker participation, namely the level of concern and behavior of workers towards the K3 culture at PT Sumigita Jaya, is included in the planned level. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the level of achievement of mining safety performance based on the participation of mining workers at PT Sumigita Jaya Site Bukit Asam Tbk, Tanjung Enim. This research is a type of qualitative research with semi-quantitative analysis, with a total of 21 informants and data collection for this research was carried out using in-depth interviews, field observations and document review. The research results showed that the level of mining worker participation was included in the proactive level. Based on the research results, it was concluded that in the participation of mining workers at PT Sumigita Jaya Site Bukit Asam it was still found that 10 workers didn’t understand the core values and 7 workers didn’t understand the Golden Rules in detail, and the results of the SMKP sub-element III.13 audit reached a score of 2. Therefore , PT Sumigita Jaya Site Bukit Asam, Tbk Tanjung Enim can support through a quiz program the implementation of rules and an innovation program, namely the Digital Safe Card.
