This rcsearch will compare the mechanical properties of specimens from motorcycle velgs and soft drink cans mixing in the reverberatory and crucibel furnace casi, that heal treated at 350°C of temperature wilh Iwo hours of Holding time and compared wilh non heal Ireated specimens. From ihe result of Chemical composition check can be known that Alloy of aluminium in casi from bot h furnace i s A f Si, These are the result after heal treatement. The tcnsion tcst result show that average of ultimate tensile stress (of) are increassed 7,93% for reverberatory furnace specimens and 10,13% for crucibel furnace specimens, average of fracture tensile stress (af) are increassed 9,13% for reverberatory furnace specimens and 12,18% for crucibel furnace specimens, average of elongation (e) are increassed 28,58% for reverberatory furnace specimens and 35,71 for crucibel furnace specimens. Average of impact energy (E) are increassed 30,02% for reverberatory furnace and 67,50% for crucibel furnace, while the impact energy per unit area (W) are increassed 30% for reverberatory furnace and 54,34% for crucibel furnace, The hardness of specimens from both furnace cast are decreassed after the heat treatement, but it is not signficant, Average of hardness decreassed 4,46% for reverberatory furnace and 4,56% for crucibel furnace specimens, Keyword: motorcycle velgs and soft drink cans, reverberatory and crusibel furnace, mechanical properties, A/-Si. heat treatment
