THE STUDENTS' PERCEPTIONS ON ENGLISH PRESENTATION ACTIVITIES IN CLASSROOMS AT SRIWIJAYA UNIVERSITY

The aim of this research is to find about the perceptions of fourth semester students of English Education Study Program Sriwijaya University and to identify the challenges faced by students during English presentations in the classroom. The participant for this research was 95 students in the English Education Study Program Sriwijaya University. This research used descriptive qualitative through questionnaire on Google Form, analyzed using descriptive data analysis per question item. The research results found that English presentation activities at Sriwijaya University was going well and overall students viewed English presentation activities is good. English presentation activities in classroom can increased their confidence, increased public speaking and increased understanding of learning materials. However, when implementing English presentation activities, students face several challenges that must be considered in the future.
