MIRANTI ADILIA PERMATA. Analysis of the Heavy Metal Content of Cadmium and Lead in Palm Oil Leaves in Peat and Mineral Soil in Palm Oil Plantations, Pampangan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province (Supervised by DEDIK BUDIANTA) Indonesia is the largest palm oil producing country in Asia. Palm Oil Plantations always use Fertilizer in the maintenance process so thatFFB production is more optimal. This fertilizer contains Pb and Cd. If Pb and Cd accumulate in the leaves, and the leaves are where the photosynthesis process occurs, the leaves will produce FFB and will beprocessed into Palm Oil. If Pb and Cd are found in the palm oil and palm oil that we consume, they will harm human health. For this reason, research will be carried out on Pb and Cd in oil palm leaves. The research method used is a survey with a level of detail with a scale of 1: 60,000 with different types of soil, namely mineral soil and peat soilwith different plant ages, namely 11 years and 14 years. The data takenwere Cd and Pb in the leaves as well as several chemical properties in the soil. The results showed that the Cd and Pb in the leaves ranged between peat Pb 0.074 ± 0.0017 mg kg-1 mineral Pb 0.0515 ± 0.0381 and peat Cd 0.0064 ± 0.0025 mg kg-1 and mineral Cd 0.0047 ±0.0066 mg kg-1 . Still below the permitted threshold, it means that the Pb and Cd content in the leaves is still safe, while the Pb and Cd content in fertilizer
