This research is entitled "Utilization of the @pemprov_sumateraselatan Instagram account as a forum for aspirations and information dissemination for the South Sumatra Provincial Government". This research aims to determine the use of Instagram social media on the Instagram account @pemprov_sumateraselatan as a forum for aspirations and dissemination of information for the South Sumatra Provincial Government. As a reference for compiling this research, the author used the theory of Some or The Circular Model of Some proposed by Regina Luttrell (2015). This theory consists of four elements or criteria, namely Share, Optimize, Manage and Engage. This research uses qualitative methods, with data obtained from in-depth interviews with 2 key informants and 2 supporting informants. Apart from that, data was obtained through in-depth interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the use of Instagram social media by the @pemprov_sumateraselatan account is not optimal in using Instagram social media. And there are several things that need to be considered in managing Instagram social media, such as regularly evaluating existing content so that it is not monotonous and varied so that it can attract the attention of the public and the management of the Instagram account @pemprov_sumateraselatan is advised to approach or interact with followers well. via Direct Message or comments column so that followers feel the feedback from the Instagram account @pemprov_sumateraselatan.
