AKTIVITAS ANTIBAKTERI EKSTRAK ETANOL BUAH PIDADA MERAH (SONNERATIA CASEOLARIS L.) TERHADAP BAKTERI SALMONELLA TYPHI SERTA SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This study was purposed to determine the effects of red pidada fruit extract (Sonneratia caseolaris L.) on Salmonella typhi bacteria, and the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC). The emergence of side effects caused by antibiotics in typhoid fever requires traditional medicine. The method used is an experiment with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) type. Antibacterial testing uses the disc diffusion method (Kirby Bauer) and liquid dilution. The extract treatments tested in the disc diffusion method are concentrations of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10%, and 12.5% (g / v). In the liquid dilution test find the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) using extract concentrations of 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, 2%, and 2.5% (g / v). The data was analyzed using the One Way ANOVA test. The results obtained indicate that the ethanol extract of red pidada fruit (Sonneratia caseolaris L.) affects Salmonella typhi bacteria. The MIC is shown to be in the concentration range of 0%–0.5%. Research contributions are made in the form of modules with Learning Outcomes (CP) of students understanding the diversity of living things and their roles in the biology subject at the first-year high school phase E.
