HUBUNGAN REGULASI EMOSI TERHADAP PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING PADA SISWA SMAN 15 PALEMBANG.
Psychological well-being is the achievement of psychological welfare without any psychological disturbances, which can be seen from a person's ability to maximize their psychological functions. Emotion regulation is a person's skill in controlling their emotions with the aim of balancing them. This research is a correlational quantitative study with a sample of 74 students, whose sample was determined using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data collection method used in this study is the emotion regulation scale and psychological well- being. The data analysis technique in this study is the Pearson product-moment correlation. The data analysis results show that the level of emotion regulation is in the moderate category with a percentage of 69% (51 students) and the level of psychological well-being is in the moderate category with a percentage of 70% (52 students), resulting in a Pearson product-moment correlation value of 0.304, indicating a positive relationship according to the coefficient interval of 0.29 – 0.39 and a direct relationship between emotion regulation and psychological well-being among 11th-grade students at SMAN 15 Palembang. This means that the higher the students' ability to regulate their emotions, the higher their psychological well- being. And conversely, the lower the emotion regulation, the lower the psychological well-being. Thus, improving emotional regulation is very important for learners.
