KARAKTERISTIK MEMBRAN POLYVINYLIDENE FLUORIDE (PVDF) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TITANIUM DIOXIDE (TiO2)
This research aims to develop a membrane using a mixture of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) and Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) and analyze the durability of the membrane through surface modification using the Electric Field method. This research also aims to analyze the microstructure of the membrane formed, identify the flux in the Clean Water Permeability (CWP) test, and analyze the tensile stress in the membrane. The membrane was made by mixing PVDF with varying concentrations of TiO2 (1,5%, 2% and 2,5%) using the solvent NN-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc). Testing involves the Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) method to observe the microstructure, tensile testing to analyze mechanical properties, and CWP testing to evaluate water filtration performance. The test results showed that the membrane with a TiO2 concentration of 1,5% had the highest flux value, namely 61,9126589276 L.m-2.h-1.bar-1, compared to the membrane with a TiO2 concentration of 2% and 2,5%, which each had a value of flux 39,4324672932 and 23,2172470978 L.m-2.h-1.bar-1. The decrease in flux values in membranes with TiO2 concentrations of 2% and 2,5% is caused by increasing membrane thickness, which reduces hydrophilicity and increases the risk of pore blockage
