ANALISIS KEPATUHAN NIGERIA TERHADAP KONVENSI PBB (UNODC) DALAM MENGHADAPI PEREDARAN NARKOBA DAN PSIKOTROPIKA 2020-2023
This research aims to evaluate Nigeria's level of compliance with the United Nations Convention on Drugs and Crime 2020-2023, initiated by the UNODC, with reference to measures to combat drug trafficking and psychotropic substances. The research assesses Nigeria's compliance with the international standards set by the convention, the effectiveness of the legislation, and the domestic policy implementation issues, based on data from UNODC annual reports and Nigeria's own policies. In these findings the author wishes to show that despite the various legislative and law enforcement initiatives in Nigeria, the implementation of such policies is hampered by major obstacles relating to is hampered by major obstacles relating to corruption, law enforcement incompetence, and lack of resources. According to the author to achieve more optimal compliance with the UNODC convention, the report recommends strengthening international collaboration, improving enforcement capabilities, and implementing better monitoring mechanisms.
