PENGARUH LINGKUNGAN KERJA DAN KEPUASAN KERJA TERHADAP RETENSI PADA TENAGA KEPENDIDIKAN NON PNS DI KANTOR PUSAT ADMINISTRASI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
Competition in the world of education is increasingly competitive, providing its own challenges for the world of education to manage employees, so that they can compete with other universities. Because it cannot be denied that employees have a very important role in the sustainability and development of higher education in the future. This study aims to analyze the direct effect of work environment and job satisfaction on retention, as well as the moderating effect of demographics on the relationship between work environment and job satisfaction on retention. The population in this study were non-civil servant education personnel at the Administrative Center Office of Sriwijaya University, totaling 184 people. Sample determination using the Slovin formula with probability sampling technique, namely proportionate stratified random sampling. The type of data is primary data obtained from distributing questionnaires. This study used 111 respondent data. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that work environment and job satisfaction directly affect retention. Furthermore, demographic factors consisting of gender, length of service, and level of education, in this study were unable to moderate the relationship between work environment and job satisfaction on retention.
