Along with the growing construction field, concrete has become one of the most needed materials in modern construction. The advantages that concrete has become a good value in the field of construction. Innovation in concrete technology in modern construction needs to be done to meet the increasing needs of construction development and overcome the weaknesses that occur in concrete. The innovation carried out in the research is adding micro and macro polypropylene synthetic fibers into Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) which aims to analyze, compare behavior, mechanical characteristics of compressive strength and modulus of elasticity of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) reinforced with micro and macro polypropylene synthetic fibers. The method used in this research is an experimental method at the Civil Engineering Laboratory, Sriwijaya University which was carried out from December 2023 to June 2024, aiming to obtain data and analyze it by testing the elastic modulus of Self Compacting Concrete (SCC). The trend of compressive strength values on the test specimens shows a slight increase. The average compressive strength value of SCC reinforced with polypropylene micro synthetic fiber with a percentage of 0.75%, 1% and 1.25% at 28 days of age is 36.81 MPa, 41.45 MPa, and 36.37 Mpa, respectively, compared to SCC without 0% fiber at 28 days of age, an average of 33.24 MPa. While the average compressive strength values of SCC reinforced with macro polypropylene synthetic fibers with a percentage of 0.75%, 1% and 1.25%, aged 28 days were 38.64 MPa, 34.17 MPa, and 37.61 MPa, respectively, compared to SCC without 0% fiber aged 28 days, averaging 33.24 MPa. Micro and macro polypropylene synthetic fibers are finer and better at producing collapse patterns or crack patterns that are small enough compared to self compacting concrete reinforced with macro polypropylene synthetic fibers.
