PERENCANAAN DAN PERANCANGAN TAMAN KAIN PALEMBANG
Indonesia has abundant natural resources, providing great opportunities to advance its economy, especially through the creative sector. The city of Palembang, selected as one of the creative economy cities by the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) in 2019, stands out in the culinary industry and traditional cloth crafts. Palembang cloth crafts, as Indonesia's cultural and artistic heritage, have a significant economic impact and are able to compete in national and international markets. However, preserving Palembang fabric requires active efforts to maintain its sustainability and support the creative sector. In Palembang, traditional fabric preservation centers focus on independent production, but the lack of good marketing facilities hinders coordination of cultural preservation. Circulation patterns in design are very important to ensure efficiency and smooth user movement. Therefore, it is necessary to design a centralized gallery that combines fabric retail with an interactive Palembang fabric park approach and provides good spatial accessibility. This design also includes activities such as workshops and Palembang fabric fashion shows, as a form of cultural conservation in accordance with Minister of Education and Culture Regulation No. 85 of 2013 which supports exhibitions, promotion of works of art, and the growth of the cultural industry.
