RESPON TANAMAN KAILAN (Brassica oleraceae var. Alboglabra) TERHADAP DOSIS TEH KOMPOS LOTUS DAN NPK PADA TANAH ASAL RAWA LEBAK
The production of kailan (Brassica oleraceae var. alboglabra) in Indonesia has declined in recent years due to the suboptimal application of cultivation techniques, particularly in the aspect of fertilization. One alternative to increase kailan production is by utilizing organic waste such as lotus compost tea combined with inorganic NPK fertilizer. This study aims to determine the effect of applying a combination of lotus compost tea and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of kailan plants in swampy land and to determine the best dosage. The research was conducted from September 2023 to January 2024 in Palembang and the Plant Physiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The research design used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with six treatments and four replications, resulting in 24 experimental units. The treatments consist of: L0 (without fertilizer), L1 (NPK recommendation 450 kg ha⁻¹), L2 (20 mL lotus compost tea + NPK), L3 (40 mL + NPK), L4 (80 mL + NPK), and L5 (100 mL + NPK). The observed variables include plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh and dry weight of the canopy and roots, stem diameter, and root length. The research results show that the combination of lotus compost tea and NPK has a very significant effect on all the observed variables. The treatment of 40 mL of lotus compost tea + NPK (L3) provided the best results in supporting the growth and yield of kailan plants in swampy land.
