DESAIN AWAL DAN ESTIMASI PENURUNAN EMISI DARI PENGOLAHAN SAMPAH SECARA TERMAL (INSINERATOR) DI KOTA PALEMBANG
Palembang City faces significant waste management problems along with the growth of population and economic activity. One of the proposed solutions is the use of incinerator technology, which is a thermal waste treatment method to reduce waste volume and generate energy. The initial design of the main plant of the incineration project in Palembang City is estimated to have an area of 13,756 m2 which includes waste bunker space, waste loading and unloading, slag disposal, crane power distribution and other spaces. In addition, the estimated value of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions before reduction or baseline emissions reached a total of 9,269,690 tCO2e during the 20-year planning year. The estimated value of emission reduction from the incinerator is 5,230,650 tCO2e, which means that the estimated emission reduction has succeeded in reducing the baseline emissions by 56.43%. From the results of the analysis, the estimated cost calculation for the construction of the main incineration plant in Palembang city is Rp 49,521,600,000 and a total cost of Rp 1,033,100,000,000 is obtained for the total cost of civil works, mechanical works, electrical works, operational costs and also with VAT of 10%.
