SEKURITISASI PERLINDUNGAN PEKERJA MIGRAN INDONESIA DI MALAYSIA PADA ERA PRESIDEN SUSILO BAMBANG YUDHOYONO DAN PRESIDEN JOKO WIDODO
Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) or what was previously called Indonesian Workers (TKI) are Indonesian citizens who work abroad who have sufficient requirements. According to BP2MI, Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) most often choose to work in Malaysia because it is considered close to Indonesia and is related. The Indonesian government protects Indonesian migrant workers, especially in Malaysia, by carrying out securitization between the Indonesian government and the Malaysian government in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. This type of research is descriptive research, namely explaining the securitization of protection for Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia in the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President Joko Widodo. The research aims to find out how the securitization of protection for Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia during the era of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and President Joko Widodo and the factors influencing crime against Indonesian migrant workers is still high even though Indonesia has collaborated with Malaysia. The data presented is secondary data collected from various books, articles, journals, newspapers and internet-related cases. The results of this research show us that crimes against Indonesian migrant workers are still high due to external factors such as local government, agency security, geography, legal institutions and society (influenced by poverty, low information and education).
