KERAPATAN DAN STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS LAMUN SERTA KETERKAITANNYA DENGAN PARAMETER PERAIRAN DI PULAU SERAM KECIL, KABUPATEN LAMPUNG SELATAN, PROVINSIN LAMPUNG
Seagrass ecosystems are among the most important shallow marine habitats, playing a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance and coastal stability. This study aims to analyze the density and community structure of seagrass and their relationship with water quality parameters. Sampling stations were determined using the purposive sampling method, while seagrass observations were conducted using a 50 × 50 cm2 quadrat transect method. Measured water parameters included temperature, salinity, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), current velocity, and water transparency. The results identified four seagrass species: Enhalus acoroides, Thalassia hemprichii, Cymodocea rotundata, and Syringodium isoetifolium, with a total density of 415 ind/m² categorized as “very dense”. The highest diversity index (H’) was 1.13 (low category) and the evenness index (E) was 0.81 (high category) at Station 2, while the dominance index (C) was highest at Station 4, indicating species dominance. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) revealed that temperature, salinity, and dissolved oxygen were the most influential environmental factors affecting seagrass distribution and density at the study site.
