FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KELUHAN DERMATITIS KONTAK PADA PETANI SAWAH DI DESA MERANJAT III KECAMATAN INDRALAYA SELATAN KABUPATEN OGAN ILIR
Contact dermatitis is one of the most common occupational skin diseases experienced by rice farmers due to repeated direct contact with various agricultural chemicals. This study aimed to identify the factors associated with complaints of contact dermatitis among rice farmers in Meranjat III Village. The study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The instrument used was a questionnaire adapted from the Nordic Occupational Skin Questionnaire (NOSQ) 2002. A total of 93 respondents who met the inclusion criteria were involved using a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using bivariate chi-square test and multivariate logistic regression with predictive modeling. The chi-square test showed significant associations between contact dermatitis complaints and age (PR = 1,56; 95% CI = 1,03-2,34; p-value = 0,012), gender (PR = 1,38; 95% CI = 1,05 1,81; p-value = 0,019), work duration (PR = 1,56; 95% CI = 1,03-2,34; p-value = 0,012), chemical use (PR = 1,63; 95% CI = 1,06-2,51; p-value = 0,007), and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage (PR = 1,95; 95% CI = 0,9-4,21; p value = 0,017). Multivariate analysis revealed that gender was the most dominant factor associated with contact dermatitis complaints (PR = 12,73; 95% CI = 2,78 58,32; p-value = 0,001). Farmers were advised to consistently use complete PPE, including gloves, long-sleeved work clothing, and boots.
