Infectious diseases such as pulmonary tuberculosis are still a threat in many parts of the world. In Indonesia, productive age is the most dominant age affected by pulmonary tuberculosis. In 2022, Rantau Alai Subdistrict had a total of 380 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis with a positive test result of 29 cases. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between knowledge and behavior of the population with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in productive age in Rantau Alai Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency in 2023. This study used a quantitative method with a case control research design. The sample in this study was the productive age population of 108 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. Respondent data collection using interviews by filling out questionnaires. Then, the data analysis test was carried out, namely the chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. The results of the analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge, smoking history, household contact, the habit of drying mattresses and the habit of opening windows every morning with the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis. Multivariate analysis showed that the most dominant variable for the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis was household contact. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and behavior of the host to the incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in Rantau Alai Subdistrict. The advice that can be given is that the community is expected to participate in extension activities on an ongoing basis and implement clean and healthy living behaviors to prevent the proliferation of pulmonary tuberculosis bacteria.
