SISTEM MONITORING DAN PENGENDALIAN KADAR TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS (TDS) DALAM AIR LIMBAH RUMAH TANGGA BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS (IOT)
Household wastewater contains various dissolved substances (Total Dissolved Solids/TDS) that can reduce environmental quality if not properly controlled. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring and control system for TDS levels using an ESP32 microcontroller, two automatic pumps, and activated carbon and air conditioner water as filtration media. The TDS value is measured using a TDS sensor calibrated with a voltage conversion formula, then transmitted in real-time to the Blynk application and stored in Google Sheets as historical data. The system is programmed to activate the pumps automatically when the TDS value exceeds the 90 ppm threshold, directing the water through activated carbon filtration and mixing with air conditioner water. Testing was conducted on three types of household wastewater: bath water, dishwashing water, and laundry water. The results show that the system successfully reduced TDS levels automatically, with the most significant decrease observed in laundry wastewater. The system functions according to its specifications and provides a simple yet effective solution for household wastewater treatment using IoT technology.
