TUMPANG SISIP BEBERAPA VARIETAS KEDELAI DAN PUPUK NPK PADA TANAMAN KELAPA SAWIT
This study aimed to investigate the intercropping of various soybean varieties and NPK fertilizer doses on soybean growth and yield under 18-year-old oil palm plantation, as well as its impact on the productivity of the oil palm. The research was conducted at the Oil Palm Research Plantation, Universitas Sriwijaya, using a factorial randomized complete block design (RCBD). The first factor was soybean variety (Agromulyo, Anjasmoro, Grobogan, Wilis), and the second factor was NPK fertilizer dosage (0 g, 7.5 g, and 15 g per plant). Intercropping with soybeans negatively affected oil palm yield. Oil palms in monoculture produced more spear leaves, male and female inflorescences, and had a higher number and weight of fresh fruit bunches compared to intercropping. Results showed that the application of 7.5 g NPK per crop consistently resulted in the highest values for crop height (52.33 cm), leaf width (5.93 cm), leaf greenness (40.50), fresh weight (6.40 g), dry weight (2.34 g), number of pods (7.52), and seed weight (1.46 g), compared to unfertilized crops. The Grobogan variety showed the best performance in plant height and seed weight. Nevertheless, soybean intercropping in oil palm plantations can be useful for utilizing the dead frond paths of oil palm.
